Scarlet Lady Art Strategy

 

Virgin Voyages’ much anticipated debut ship, Scarlet Lady, set sail from the UK at the beginning of August 2021.  Before she heads home to PortMiami, we wanted to look back at one of our favourite collaborations with the Brand…the art strategy.

 

Virgin Voyages appointed us to create a revolutionary collection of art onboard Scarlet Lady,  Our strategy was for every piece of art to add meaningful layers to the experience.  This vision led us to commissioning 260 bespoke installations, making the art completely unique to Scarlet Lady.  In addition to this, we created 164 pieces of art for the ship.

The art ranged from sculpture, tapestries, photography, graffiti/live art, neon, typography, illustrations and much more.

It’s all about collaboration

With so many wonderfully different experiences onboard, we used the art to subtly stitch in the interiors design stories together.  We didn’t do it alone though; we collaborated with incredible artists and designers to bring it to life!
