The opportunity arose for a new Vroom, as Virgin made the decision to move to LGW north Terminal.

Taking an already popular product and making it greater was the challenge. In order to write the valid brief we took to delving deep into the customer satisfaction reports and understanding the brand today, but also where it wanted to be in 5 years. From that we took it one step further, by delivering a 7,200 sq ft lounge  that made people feel like they were ‘walking on sunshine’.  We created a destination that passengers were happy to pay to visit as part of their Virgin Holiday’s package holiday.


Our role involved wearing many hats, from interviewing design agencies, writing the Pitch/brief, managing contractors and architects contracts, guiding Virgin through cost negotiations with a QS, to managing the build on site. Being  orchestrators of such a large project also included specifying some fantastic furniture, to the day to day liaison with the landlord GAL. Having over 25 years of experience between us working in airport environments, we made the process smooth and successful for Virgin Holiday’s.
